The BiteFresh Alexa skill is live

Since 25 September 2026, BiteFresh has also been available as an Amazon Alexa skill. It passed Amazon’s certification and is available in the Amazon Skill Store in German. It works with the same household as the app.

What the skill can do

• ask what expires soon and whether a product is still in stock
• add products to the shopping list and read the list aloud
• record consumed items; Alexa asks for confirmation before recording consumption
• suggest recipes using existing stock. This feature uses AI and requires consent to AI processing in the app and an active paid Premium subscription; a trial is not sufficient for Alexa recipe suggestions.

How to get started

1. Enable the BiteFresh skill in the Amazon Skill Store.
2. Link it to your BiteFresh account once in the Alexa app. This also works if you signed in using Google or Apple.
3. Start with the German invocation “Alexa, öffne Kühlschrank Fresh”, wait briefly, then say what you need in German.

German examples after “Alexa, öffne Kühlschrank Fresh”: “Was läuft diese Woche ab?” (what expires this week?) · “Setz Butter auf die Einkaufsliste.” (add butter to the shopping list) · “Der Frischkäse ist alle.” (the cream cheese has run out). Alexa asks for confirmation before recording consumption or spoilage.
