Step by step
Start the skill. Alexa responds; then say your request in German.
- „Alexa, öffne Kühlschrank Fresh“
Ask what expires and what is still in stock.
- „Was läuft bald ab?“
- „Was läuft diese Woche ab?“
- „Ist noch Milch da?“
Add to the shopping list, have it read out or check off items. … ist gekauft checks off an item.
- „Setz Butter auf die Einkaufsliste.“
- „Was steht auf der Einkaufsliste?“
- „Kaffee ist gekauft.“
Opened or running low: ist auf means opened, not empty.
- „Die Milch ist auf.“
- „Der Käse wird knapp.“
Used up or spoiled: Alexa asks once before recording it. Only Ja confirms; Nein changes nothing. If two products are similar, Alexa asks which you mean.
- „Der Frischkäse ist alle.“
- „Die Gurke ist schlecht.“
Household budget: Alexa reads amounts only when asked.
- „Wie viel Budget habe ich noch?“
- „Was habe ich diesen Monat ausgegeben?“
Recipes from your stock, one to five. Requirements are explained in Why does Alexa not suggest recipes?.
- „Mach mir zwei Rezepte.“
Good to know
Most reliable: first say Alexa, öffne Kühlschrank Fresh, wait briefly, then give your request in German.
Deleting whole products, managing households and clearing the entire shopping list deliberately remain in the app, where you can see what happens and undo supported actions.
