How do I switch AI features on or off?

The app asks for consent the first time you use AI. Change it any time in Profile › Data › AI features. You can keep using the app without AI.

Step by step

  1. Enable AI features? appears for your first receipt scan, open Freshy question or AI recipe.

  2. The dialog explains what is sent, where (Anthropic, Claude) and why. Then choose Enable AI features or Continue without AI.

  3. To change later: Profile › Data › AI features.

  4. Without AI, you can still use stock, barcode scanning, shopping list, household budget, saved recipes and Cook mode.

  5. Recipe requests via Alexa also need this consent.

Good to know

AI results can contain mistakes, so review them. Do not upload photos or text containing sensitive personal information.
