How do I create a shared shopping list for flatmates or friends?

In Shopping, tap New, create the list and share its code. Shared lists work independently of your household.

PremiumJoining and using a shared list is also available for free.

Step by step

  1. Open Shopping and tap New beside My list at the top.

  2. Create a new list: enter a name, such as Flatmates, and tap Create list.

  3. Members & sharing › Share code sends the link to everyone who should participate.

  4. To join: New › Join a list › enter the Invite code › Join with code.

  5. When shopping, checked items show who bought them (bought by you). Then choose Move purchased to stock (…) or Scan receipt & finish shopping.

  6. Split the cost: choose Split evenly or All me. Each person's share goes into their own household budget.

  7. To leave or delete: Profile › Household › Shared lists › Leave list or Delete list.

Good to know

Creating lists requires Premium. Each person you share with needs a seat in your subscription or their own Premium. You can join and use a shared list for free.

Delete list removes the list and all its items for every member. This cannot be undone.
