Step by step

  1. The first time, your phone asks whether BiteFresh may send notifications. Tap Allow.

  2. To check: Profile › Freshy & AI › Push alerts. It may show On, 2 days before.

  3. If it says Off – allow in system settings, tap it and enable BiteFresh notifications in your phone's settings.

  4. You then receive a notification listing what expires today or soon, as pictured. If your household Synchronisation is set to Solo, you receive individual messages instead, such as Yoghurt expires tomorrow or … is due today — please check. BiteFresh also alerts you to nearly empty products and your monthly budget.

  5. Frozen food triggers a reminder around a week before the date you chose when freezing it.

  6. If you care for another household, switch its Expiry reminders on or off separately there.

Good to know

On Android, notifications are grouped into Expiry alerts, Almost-empty alerts and Budget alerts. You can mute individual groups in your phone's settings.
